Community Renewable Energy Aggregation Mechanism
COMMUNITY RENEWABLE ENERGY AGGREGATION MECHANISM (CREAM)
CREAM is an innovative regulatory framework that allows residential homeowners to lease their rooftops for solar photovoltaic (PV) installations. We lead these projects for entire residential developments, turning neighborhoods into active green energy hubs. Managed by a Local Energy Generator and Aggregator (LEGA), this mechanism empowers communities to contribute to Malaysia’s 70% renewable energy target by 2050.
- Project Leadership: We lead the CREAM project for entire residential areas, targeting a minimum capacity of 1MWp (approx. 100 houses) to ensure community-wide impact. We work closely with partners to handle everything from professional installation to community marketing and engagement.
- Smart Infrastructure: Aggregates solar energy from residential landed houses (100kWp–2MWp) within a 5km radius. The system utilizes direct grid connections and integrates Community Energy Storage (CESS) and Voltage Regulating Transformers for real-time monitoring and grid stability.
- Safety-First Technology: Features roof-mounted Microinverters that convert high-voltage DC to low-voltage AC directly on the roof. This advanced technology eliminates high-voltage risks and electrical fire hazards within the home.
- Integrated Monitoring (Mi-Suria): Powered by the Mi-Suria, providing a single interface for real-time performance optimization, fault diagnosis, and module-level monitoring while ensuring data sovereignty.
- Zero-Cost Benefits: A zero-upfront-cost model where the developer (LEGA) pays for 100% of equipment and installation. Homeowners earn a fixed monthly rental income for their roof space, while local consumers receive discounted green electricity.
- Hassle-Free Commitment: Our partner take responsibility for the system’s lifecycle, including periodic maintenance, cleaning, and comprehensive insurance coverage against fire, lightning, and theft.
- ESG & Malaysia Solar Grid: A core initiative to help Malaysia reach its 70% renewable energy target by 2050. CREAM aligns with national ESG goals and the Corporate Renewable Energy Supply Scheme (CRESS) to strengthen the national solar grid.
CREAM is Malaysia’s innovative platform that connects residential homeowners with local green consumers. By leasing your roof for solar PV installations, you help provide discounted green electricity to your neighborhood while earning a fixed rental income to offset your own energy bills.
